As a Chiropractor, I treat patients with musculoskeletal pain of
somatic origin. After three decades of practice, I have come to realize that
all pain has a psychological component that is much overlooked.
People come to me because they can't control their pain and neither can
other specialists. What people
really want but don't articulate, is a better life and that involves the
absence of pain.
Dealing with stress, psychological, physical and emotional is
critical to healing. Teaching a patient how to control their lives, (taking
control of circumstances in life that render them trapped, helpless,
overwhelmed and out of control), has a huge reduction on somatic pain.
Regaining control with direct healthy behavior and habits is hard work but
results in regaining control of their pain and more importantly their life!
Eat well, move well, think well. Exercise some of the time, eat healthy most of the time, pursue God ALL of the time.
